Commercial importers provided 30-day extension to submit financial security before the end of CARM transition period

On March 26, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued an update regarding Commercial importers provided 30-day extension to submit financial security before the end of CARM transition period. The CBSA has extended the deadline for commercial importers to post their financial security electronically in the Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) system from May 20, 2025, to a new date. Importers are now required to post their financial security by 3 am EDT on this new date to benefit from the Release Prior to Payment (RPP) Program.
