On 05/12/2024, the Competition and Markets Authority issued an update regarding CMA clears Vodafone / Three merger, subject to legally binding commitments. The CMA has decided to allow the merger between Vodafone and Three to proceed if they sign commitments to invest in a combined 5G network across the UK, with capping of certain mobile tariffs for three years and pre-set prices for virtual network providers.
