China unveils draft environmental code

"On 27/04/2023, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress received a draft of China's first-ever environmental code. The draft comprises 1,188 articles in five chapters and is expected to become China's second formal statutory code after the Civil Code, which was adopted in 2020, promoting green efforts and enhancing ecological protection once adopted."
