Brief

On Thursday, March 20, China's central government announced two new measures to facilitate travel and residency for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents on the mainland. The new policy allows residents who lose or forget their permits to apply for a temporary electronic permit valid for seven days, while also launching a verification service linking travel and residence permits. The National Immigration Administration (NIA) has implemented over 40 service measures across 10 sectors, offering free real-time verification services, and pledged to further enhance immigration policies and expand service accessibility.
