On October 12, the Chinese government and Laos signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding cooperation in standardization in the fields of rail transport, energy, and electric vehicles. The MOU was signed by Chinese Vice-Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Lao Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the National Standardization Committee, Chansouk Sanpah.
