CGU consultancy assists Infra SA in preparing the bidding notice

The Controladoria-Geral da Uniu00e3o (CGU) conducted an analysis of the Infra S.A's budget for the Fiol II project, a 140-kilometer stretch of the Oeste Leste Railway, which was initially estimated to cost R$ 386.980.927,27. The CGU identified minor errors and recommended adjustments to the bidding process to better align with regulatory requirements. As a result, the estimated cost for the project was reduced to R$ 368.629.055,17. The CGU also provided additional recommendations to improve Infra S.A's contracting and risk management processes, including segmentation of orders, reviewing and updating drainage catalogs, and creating an internal regulation for risk quantification. The project, which is part of the Brazilian government's Growth Acceleration Program (PAC), has an estimated total investment of R$ 5 billion.
