The sanctions resulted from administrative responsibility processes (PARs) initiated based on the Anti-Corruption Law (Lei nu00ba 12.846/2013). The cases involve fraud in the execution of road construction works, payment of bribes to a public agent, and unauthorized access to confidential information.
Two companies, FDS Engenharia de u00d3leo e Gu00e1s S/A and Frigoru00edfico Masterboi, were fined R$ 95.016.053,04 and R$ 95.886.512,79, respectively, for their involvement in the illegal activities. Additionally, two other companies, Weatherford Indu00fastria e Comu00e9rcio Ltda (Geremia) and Pertech do Brasil Ltda, were granted a negotiated settlement after admitting their responsibility and cooperating with the investigation.
The negotiated settlement is an instrument established by the CGU's Portaria Normativa nu00ba 19/2022, aimed at promoting integrity in the private sector and encouraging companies to take responsibility for their actions.
