On May 15, the Comptroller General of Brazil participated in Operation Third Act, a joint operation with the Federal Police to investigate fraud, embezzlement, and corruption related to the municipality's procurement of food and school meals. The investigation was initiated by the CGU after analyzing a bid process that revealed irregularities, including restrictive clauses, suspected collusion, and an overpayment of R$ 1.808.735.
