CGU and PF combat health irregularities in Roraima

The Controladoria-Geral da Uniu00e3o (CGU) is participating in an operation called Higeia, conducted in partnership with the Federal Police, to investigate crimes of fraud, misappropriation of resources, and organized crime involving the hiring of a company specialized in providing complementary healthcare services to the state of Roraima. The investigation began after a complaint was filed with the CGU regarding alleged irregularities in the adoption of the Ata de Registro de Preu00e7os by the Secretariat of Health of Roraima, which resulted in a contract worth R$ 30.205.995.96, funded by the Unified National Health System (SUS). The investigation found evidence of favoritism, indicative of collusion, and absence of defined goals for payment of services without clear measurement criteria. The operation aims to identify those responsible and recover misused funds, which will affect the efficiency of public policies in Roraima, impacting the population, particularly in the field of orthopedics.
