"On Wednesday, April 4th, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), the Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU), and the Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) launched operation Novo Rumo to investigate a suspected cartel in public bidding for road engineering works. The operation involves around 30 professionals from CADE, 24 from CGU, 41 from PRF, and representatives of the Federal Justice, with the objective of apurar suposto esquema de cartel e de fraudes em licitações públicas."
