Brief
Summary:
On March 25th, the Group of Twenty's (G20) Anti-Corruption Working Group (GTAC) presented the Brazil's plan of work for the Report on the implementation of a set of High-Level Principles for the fight against corruption. The report will be prepared throughout the year as part of the Brazilian presidency of GTAC. The High-Level Principles are commitments made by countries in the GTAC to guide policymakers. For 2024, Brazil has proposed that the principles be evaluated from those approved by the Group in 2017 during the German and Brazilian co-presidency. The principles provide guidelines and principles on measures to combat corruption, including organizational integrity, transparency, and risk analysis.
The document reiterates the commitment of member countries to improve integrity, transparency, and accountability in the public sector. A public administration sustained by a culture of integrity, accountability, and transparency not only promotes confidence but also works in favor of better policies for citizens.
