Brief
Summary:
The Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship (MDHC) held the 8th ordinary meeting of the Group of Work (GT) to develop the Unified Biopsychosocial Assessment of Disability. The main point of discussion was the continuation of the mapping of existing federal public policies for people with disabilities. The group also defined criteria for accessing these policies and the necessary changes. The new model will move from a medical diagnosis-based rights approach to a multiprofessional and interdisciplinary assessment using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model. The meeting aimed to regulate the unified assessment of disability and implement a ideal guarantee of rights for people with disabilities.
