La Argentina participó en la Tercera Reunión del año 2023 del Grupo de Trabajo Anticorrupción del G20 y en la Reunión Ministerial Anticorrupción

Se realizaron del 9 al 12 de agosto de 2023 en la ciudad de Kolkata, Bengala Occidental, India. De esta manera culminó la edición 2023 de la presidencia india, que se encontraba copresidida por Italia.

El debate se centró en el comunicado ministerial que el Grupo de Trabajo Anticorrupción del G20 (ACWG) logró consensuar el sábado 12 de agosto, en lo que fue la segunda reunión de ministros y máximas autoridades anticorrupción en la historia del grupo desde su creación en 2010.

Asimismo, se presentaron los documentos elaborados por el ACWG a lo largo del año, entre ellos:
– Principios de Alto Nivel para promover la integridad y la eficacia de las autoridades especializadas en la prevención y la lucha contra la corrupción.
– Reporte de Rendición de Cuentas 2023 enfocado en la Asistencia Legal Mutua.
– Compendio de Buenas Prácticas sobre el Rol de los Organismos de Auditoría en la Lucha Contra la Corrupción.

También, se realizaron dos paneles de discusión sobre las estrategias para avanzar en la implementación de los documentos producidos por el ACWG:
– Principios de Alto Nivel Sobre el Fortalecimiento de la Cooperación Internacional en Materia de Aplicación de la Ley y el Intercambio de Información para Combatir la Corrupción.
– Principios de Alto Nivel para Promover la Integridad y la Eficacia de las Autoridades Especializadas en la Prevención y la Lucha Contra la Corrupción.

Como novedad se organizó una mesa redonda sobre medición de la corrupción, en la que se presentó una mirada global acerca de las diferentes iniciativas de los organismos internacionales con relación a esta temática.

A su vez, se generaron espacios en los que los grupos de compromiso G20 expusieron acerca del trabajo que vienen realizando contra la corrupción: Civil20 (C20), que proporciona una plataforma que divulga las acciones de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil; Piensa20 (T20), que reúne a grupos de expertos de alto nivel; Women20 (W20), que se concentra en el “crecimiento económico inclusivo de géneroâ€; Negocios20 (B20), que representa a la comunidad empresarial mundial y Superiores20 (SAI20); que reúne a Entidades Fiscalizadoras Superiores20 (SAI20).

Finalmente, algunos países miembros expusieron sobre diversos temas referidos a la anticorrupción, entre ellos China, sobre paraísos fiscales, y Estados Unidos, que presentó detalles sobre la próxima Conferencia de Estados Parte de la Convención Anticorrupción de Naciones Unidas (ONU), a realizarse en Atlanta durante 2023.

Para culminar se adoptaron los Principios de Alto Nivel, el Compendio de Buenas Prácticas y el Accountability Report 2023 elaborados por el ACWG, así como la Declaración Ministerial Anticorrupción de Kolkata.
