On 06/12/2024, the Presidents of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay and the European Commission announced the definitive conclusion of negotiations for the Partnership Agreement between MERCOSUR and the European Union. This agreement is the largest trade deal concluded by MERCOSUR and one of the biggest bilateral free-trade areas in the world, bringing together around 718 million people and economies worth approximately $22 trillion.
