Anatel may establish an AI regulatory sandbox

"On October 10, 2025, Alexandre Freire, director counselor at Anatel, presented a manifestation on the convergence of digital regulation in telecommunications. According to Freire, establishing an institutional AI governance sandbox will enable testing regulatory approaches and norms in a controlled environment, allowing for real-world assessment of different governance models' contributions to transparency, accountability, and confidence in AI systems applied to the sector."
