An AIFA “traffic-light” app to promote the appropriate use of antibiotics

"On 04/03/2025, the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) issued an update regarding An AIFA “traffic-light” app to promote the appropriate use of antibiotics". The app, named Firstline, is a simple and easy-to-use tool that provides information on the treatment of 10 common infections in adults and children. It categorizes antibiotics into three colors: green (Access), orange (Watch), and red (Reserve) based on their spectrum of activity and risk of inducing resistance.
