Amendment to Decree 2126/71

On January 20, 2025, the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) issued an update regarding Amendment to Decree 2126/71. The update involves the simplification and acceleration of sanitary management for food imports and exports through a new decree (35/2025), which modifies the regulation of the Argentine Food Code. This amendment allows food products from countries with high sanitary vigilance or participating in economic integration agreements to enter Argentina with a sworn declaration, provided they have an authorization or certificate approved by the exporting country's health authority.
