"On 15/01/2025, the Federal Public Ministry (Ministério Público Federal – MPF) issued an update regarding After action by the MPF, Água Doce do Maranhão and Bela Vista do Maranhão must regularize the Transparency Portal. The decision was made after the MPF's actions in civil public lawsuits were accepted by a federal judge, citing non-compliance with the Access to Information Law (Lei nº 12.527/2011) and the Transparency Law (Lei Complementar nº 131/2009)."
