On February 27, 2025, the Australian Energy Market Commission issued an update regarding AEMC updates market price cap for 2025-26. The Commission has increased the base rate of the National Electricity Rules' market price cap (MPC) and cumulative price threshold (CPT), which will progressively rise from July 1, 2025, to July 1, 2027, following the consumer price index adjustments.
