On 20/12/2024, the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority issued an update regarding ACPR welcomes the results of the EIOPA stress test exercise measuring the resilience of the European insurance sector to the economic and financial consequences of an episode of high tensions. The exercise showed that insurers can handle surging geopolitical risks but at a heavy price, with 48 insurance companies participating from 20 countries, representing 75% of assets in the EEA.
