Summary:

The Italian Authority for Anti-Corruption (Anac) has clarified that access to an online platform for verifying insurance policies (garanzie fideiussorie) can be granted using alternative solutions to the Spid system. This decision was made in response to interpretive difficulties faced by some bid-winning companies. The Anac also clarified that the use of Spid is optional for private entities that do not access public services but provide their own services. Additionally, it was specified that intermediaries involved in the issuance of insurance policies can also access the verification site, in addition to policyholders and bid-winning companies benefiting from the guarantee.
