CGU and SGPR create the Training Management Committee for Social Control

Summary

On November 30, the Controladoria-Geral da Uniu00e3o (CGU) held a meeting with the Secretaria-Geral da Presidu00eancia da Repu00fablica (SGPR) to advance its partnership in promoting trainings for social control. The meeting resulted in the creation of the Comitu00ea Gestor de Formau00e7u00e3o para o Controle Social, responsible for coordinating strategic activities across national regions. The initiative aims to form representatives from councils, collectives, leaders, and civil society organizations. The CGU conducted a survey with nearly 1,000 participants, revealing a need for capacity-building, particularly among women (62%) and black people (56%). The plan is to organize future courses based on social class, gender, race, and ethnicity.
