On July 7, 2025, Hadush Kebatu, 41, sexually assaulted and harassed a 14-year-old girl in Epping. He was convicted of two counts of sexual assault, one count each of attempted sexual assault, inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, and harassment. The CPS worked with Essex Police to bring the case to justice, using video evidence and witness testimony to prove Kebatu's guilt.
