On April 9, 2025, the Reliability Panel published a draft determination for its Review of the System Restart Standard. The proposed changes aim to enhance system restart preparedness and resilience by allowing AEMO to procure SRAS to form restoration islands in two hours and restore supply to meet 50% of forecast demand within eight hours, addressing recommendations from AEMO's System Restart Technical Advice.
