On 24/05/2023, the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affair issued an update regarding British businesses cheer UK-EU deal to support food trade and profits. The new sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) agreement with the EU will cut costs, slash red tape, and support business profits, while adding £5.1 billion a year to the UK economy by making trading with the UK's biggest export market faster, easier, and cheaper.
