On July 17, 2023, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) launched a consultation on proposed amendments to the PIE Auditor Registration regime. The proposed changes aim to enhance proportionality, clarify processes, and increase activity in areas such as restructuring and private capital ownership of Registered audit firms. The FRC is hosting four roundtables in September for PIE auditors to share their views on the proposed amendments.
