On 20/06/2025, the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) issued an update regarding CRE publishes the deliberation on the decision to regulate the changed counting system in Mayotte. The commission has approved Electricité de Mayotte's (EDM) project to deploy evolved meters in the non-interconnected zone of Mayotte, with a total investment of 21 million euros and operational costs of 3 million euros from 2025 to 2032.
