On 30/06/2025, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) issued an update regarding "Overview of Air Transport Statistics Annual Report (FY2024)". According to the report, domestic regular air transport passengers increased by 3.8% to 108.76 million people in FY2024, with cargo weight rising by 11.4% to 618,117 tons. International air transport also saw a significant increase, with passenger numbers up by 19.8% and cargo weight up by 11.8%.
