"On June 20, 2025, the Employment and Social Development Canada issued an update regarding Amendments to the Canada Labour Code related to replacement workers and the maintenance of activities process. The amendments prohibit employers from using certain types of replacement workers during strikes or lockouts, and require employers and unions to enter into a maintenance of activities agreement within 15 days of notice to bargain."
