ED, Bangalore has provisionally attached Rs.1.80 Crore (approx.) of Tax deducted at source (TDS) credited against fraudulently obtained PAN in Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board(KIADB), Dharwad ‘double compensation scam’ under the provisions of the PMLA, 2002. This scam was perpetrated by VD Sajjan (Retired Special Land Acquisition Officer, Dharwad) in collusion with other accused persons. ED has attached assets worth Rs. 12.80 Crore (approx.) in this case so far

"On 17/06/2025, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued an update regarding ED, Bangalore has provisionally attached Rs.1.80 Crore (approx.) of Tax deducted at source (TDS) credited against fraudulently obtained PAN in Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board(KIADB), Dharwad ‘double compensation scam’ under the provisions of the PMLA, 2002. This scam was perpetrated by VD Sajjan (Retired Special Land Acquisition Officer, Dharwad) in collusion with other accused persons. ED has attached assets worth Rs. 12.80 Crore (approx.) in this case so far. Approximately Rs. 46 Crore has been withdrawn in cash from the bank accounts opened using fictitious PANs."
