On July 22, 2025, the National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL) issued an update regarding ANEEL recommends the extension of the Pará Equatorial Concession Agreement. The agency recommended to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) a 30-year extension of the concession agreement with Equatorial Pará Distribuição de Energia S.A., which serves approximately three million consumers in 144 municipalities in the state of Pará, Brazil.
