Brief

"On 01/07/2025", the Environment Agency (EA) issued an update regarding "D6: incinerating waste produced on site". This exemption allows a joinery firm to produce off-cuts of clean, untreated wood waste which it burns in a purpose-built incinerator with a design capacity of less than 50 kilograms per hour. The EA specifies the types of waste that can be burned and the conditions that must be met, including the net rated thermal input and storage limits for waste.
