On July 30, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued an update regarding CBSA's designated immigrant station for high-risk detainees now operational in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines. The secure facility can house up to 25 adult male detainees who require a high degree of supervision and control due to prior convictions or outstanding charges for violent crimes, such as assault with a weapon.
