Brief

On April 24, 2025, the Department of Climate Change issued an update regarding Guarantee of Origin scheme open for new round of consultation. The Government is seeking feedback on the second tranche of the Guarantee of Origin Rules and Methodology Determination for hydrogen produced via electrolysis. Consultation also includes regulations relating to cost recovery charges and a concept paper on energy storage systems in the Renewable Electricity Guarantee of Origin (REGO) scheme, closing on July 18, 2025.
