On 07/04/2025, the Comptroller General of Brazil issued an update regarding CGU fines company over R$500 million for fraud in contract with Petrobras. Toyo Engineering Corporation was penalized with a fine of R$566.602.792.83 due to payments of bribes and frauds practiced against Petrobras in a contract signed for the construction of a Central de Desenvolvimento de Plantas de Utilidades (CDPU) in Rio de Janeiro.
