On 27/06/2025, the first event of the Southeast Asian exchange program to combat IUU fishing took place in Bangkok. A group of 15 fisheries officers from five countries participated in a week-long training with Thai officers, focusing on monitoring, control, and surveillance techniques. The program aimed to strengthen fisheries management in participating countries, with an emphasis on cooperation to address the cross-border issue of IUU fishing.
