Operation Sin Tax: RFB and PF triggered operation to combat irregular import and fraudulent trade in electronic products in Pará and Piauí

On April 2, the Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal), in conjunction with the Federal Police, launched Operation Sin Tax to combat contraband and customs evasion of electronic products. This operation is a follow-up to November's Operation Mercador Fênicio, and targets an organized crime group that has been smuggling electronics into Pará and Piauí states.
