On April 8, 2025, the European Data Protection Board issued an update regarding Opinion 4/2025 on the draft decision of the Finnish Supervisory Authority regarding the Controller Binding Corporate Rules of the Nokia Group. The EDPB considered that the draft BCR-C of the Nokia Group contains appropriate safeguards to ensure the level of protection of natural persons guaranteed by the GDPR is not undermined when personal data is transferred to and processed by group members based in third countries.
