"On May 22, 2025, Transparency International EU and 319 undersigned organisations submitted an open letter to President Ursula von der Leyen and Commissioner Michael McGrath expressing deep concern over Hungary's proposed bill entitled "Transparency of Public Life". The bill would enable the government to target, defund, and dissolve any organisation it designates as a threat to Hungarian sovereignty."
