On 25/06/2025, the Canadian Energy Regulator (CER) issued an update regarding Market Snapshot: Annual Trade Summary – Electricity. The total value of electricity exports from Canada was $3.13 billion CAD in 2024, a decrease of 30% from the previous year, while the average price of exported electricity was $81.42 CAD per MWh, down from $84.38 CAD per MWh in 2023. Canadian electricity imports totalled 23.21 TWh in 2024, an increase of 8% from 2023.
