China allocates 60 mln yuan to aid flood relief efforts in Guangdong

"On June 18, the National Development and Reform Commission allocated 60 million yuan (approximately $8.36 million USD) from China's central budget to support flood relief efforts in Guangdong Province. The funds will be used for infrastructure and public service restoration in affected regions of the province." As a result, approximately 300,000 residents of Huaiji County have been affected by continuous heavy rainfall, with about 70,000 people relocated to safer areas.
