"On April 14, 2025, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued an update regarding CFTC Staff Issues Interpretation Regarding U.S. Treasury Exchange-Traded Funds as Eligible Margin Collateral for Uncleared Swaps". The interpretation clarifies that shares of certain U.S. Treasury exchange-traded funds may be considered eligible margin collateral for uncleared swaps, subject to conditions in CFTC Regulation 23.156. This update allows swap dealers to post and collect these ETFs as initial and variation margin collateral.
