On March 27, 2023, the Competition and Markets Authority issued an update regarding Investigation into Google’s ‘Privacy Sandbox’ browser changes. The CMA had concerns about Google's proposals but now believes a previously accepted Commitment is no longer necessary due to Google's decision to allow third-party cookies in Chrome. A consultation was launched to consider releasing the Commitments, with guidance documents available on a separate page.
