Brief

The COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2024/2563 amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1646 to include additional content in national risk-based control plans and national randomised surveillance plans. This regulation also clarifies the submission of those plans and data by Member States, as well as minimum sampling frequencies, effective from January 1, 2025, with implications for the food safety authority and veterinary medicinal products industry. The key amendments include justifying selected substances and species in control plans, submitting compliant results gathered under control plans to EFSA, and validating data by August each year.
