On March 26, 2025, the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada issued an update regarding implementation of Budget 2024 amendments on private-to-private information sharing and beneficial ownership discrepancy reporting. These amendments introduce new obligations for businesses subject to the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Regulations and modify existing ones, effective April 1, 2025.
