On 06/03/2025, the Competition and Markets Authority issued an update regarding CMA clears GBT / CWT corporate travel merger. The independent inquiry group leading the investigation has cleared the deal after concluding that CWT is a weaker competitor and other suppliers will offer customers alternatives to the merged business, resulting in no substantial lessening of competition in the global market for business travel agency services.
