The survey was conducted from January 10-20, with a focus on weekdays excluding Sundays and holidays. Nationwide, the 8 occupations showed a 0.6% shortage in January, similar to December's result, while the Tohoku region experienced a 0.6% surplus in January, improving from December's 1.5% deficit.
