"On Friday, May 20, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (Corte IDH) condemned the Brazilian government in the case 'Dos Santos Nascimento and Ferreira Gomes vs. Brazil' for failing to investigate a racial and gender discrimination case from 1998. The court held that there was institutional racism and lack of diligent investigation by authorities, violating the rights of Neusa dos Santos Nascimento and Gisele Ana Ferreira Gomes."
