BRICS discusses the impact of artificial intelligence on work and reinforces commitment to social protection

On February 13, the first stage of the virtual meeting of the BRICS Working Group on Employment concluded. Representatives from member countries and new additions shared innovative initiatives to address digital transformation's impact on work, with a focus on social protection and worker capacity building. They emphasized the need for mechanisms to safeguard vulnerable groups, such as older workers, women, and informal sector professionals, amidst rapid changes in the job market.
