EPA and LA County Sign Lease for New Staging Area in Altadena

On February 7, 2025, the Environmental Protection Agency issued an update regarding EPA and LA County Sign Lease for New Staging Area in Altadena. The agency signed a lease agreement with Los Angeles County to establish a new staging area at Charles S. Farnsworth Park in Altadena, California, to consolidate and safely dispose of hazardous materials from burned areas. This additional staging area will enable EPA to accelerate cleanup operations and support the recovery process for fire-impacted residents.
